Sesame (Sesamum indicum) is a flowering plant in the genus Sesamum. It is widely grown in tropical regions around the world and is cultivated for its edible seeds. India and Africa totally account for 70% of the internationally traded sesame.
AVEL’s sesame business model is centered on niche sourcing and marketing as sesame shares the geographical adjacency of the sourcing origins of cocoa and cashew for us. We trade sesame from Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Tanzania and India which we ship to China, Europe and Middle East. The AVEL procurement structure in sourcing countries ensure that the product quality standards are adhered to.
